Here are a few of the shops you may want to check out while indulging in this cultural hub within the Riviera Nayarit.

PACHA MAMA

Legend tells of a French gypsy family of nine brothers and sisters, whose parents were true wanderlusters and traveled the world with their tribe. One summer, when staying in St. Barths, they decided to buy a boat, and then for the next 10 years they sailed the oceans until finally, three of the sisters, Nathalie, Sofie and Marie decided to settle in Sayulita.

Since then, the famous Mignot sisters, also known as Les Gazelles, have become the epitome of the Gypset lifestyle. Their boutique, half art gallery, half clothing store, is full of hand-embroidered garments and naturally dyed textiles created in Mexico, along with pieces from all over the world, such as their iconic Tahitian black pearl necklaces.

EVOKE THE SPIRIT

When American designer Brittney Borjeson booked a short vacation by the beach and chose a small town on the pacific coast of Mexico as a destination, she never thought she would fall in love forever.

She felt so inspired by the artistic vibe of Sayulita, that decided to change the fast-paced life she had been living between Boston and New York, for the laid-back atmosphere of this tiny place.

Evoke the Spirit was then born as a way to channel her creativity with a mix of pieces designed by her and others chosen in a careful curation process during her field trips across Mexico.
